ATech is now on Local Buy (LB308)

ATech, a leading Brisbane-based cloud hosting and web development company, today announced it has been selected as a preferred ICT services provider for Local Buy (LB308).

ATech specialises in systems requiring scalability, high availability and robust cyber security. ATech has built and hosted websites and web apps for local organisations including Virgin Australia, Seqwater and Brisbane City Council.

Sarah-Jane Peterschlingmann, Managing Director of ATech, said, “We are delighted to be selected for Local Buy. We look forward to more business opportunities and even more brand visibility with local councils.

“ATech has worked with all levels of the government for many years. For example ATech’s secure and reliable website hosting enables Brisbane City Council, Australia’s largest local government, to provide timely information to residents, particularly in times of emergency such as severe weather events.”

Local Buy (www.localbuy.net.au) was established by the Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ) to meet the needs of government with the procurement process. Since 2001, Local Buy has helped to reduce the risk, time and costs associated with internal procurement processes for its government clients.

The LB308 three year contract provides Queensland, Northern Territory and Tasmanian councils access to a broad range of ICT Solutions, Products, Services and New Technologies. The streamlined procurement process allows councils to access competitive pricing from competent, reliable suppliers through Pricing Schedules and Request for Quote options rather than an open tender for engagement of any value, resulting in significant time and cost savings.

All Local Buy contracts are compliant with the Local Government Act 2009 and the Local Government Regulations Act 2012. Each Local Buy supplier is vetted through a comprehensive tender, evaluation and approval process prior to being appointed to a Local Buy contract.
