ATech appoints Gary Linton as Non-Executive Chair and promotes Glenn Prinsen to Operations Manager

ATech makes additional new appointments

 

ATech, a leading Brisbane-based cloud hosting and web development company, today announced it has appointed Gary Linton to the newly created role of Non-Executive Chair. ATech has also promoted Glenn Prinsen to Operations Manager.

In addition, ATech has made some new appointments to position the company for international expansion and in response to increased customer demand. The appointments include Amanda Brown as Community Manager and Manuel Ruiz as Senior Web Developer. 

 

Gary Linton (Non-Executive Chair) 

Gary Linton brings 30 years of management and consulting experience in a variety of sectors including technology. He is an experienced non-executive Chair, Director, CEO, Manager, Management Adviser and Mentor, assisting many companies to become investment/exit ready and has executed numerous capital raisings, strategy plans, governance implementations and management restructures.

Over the past five years, Gary has served as non-executive Chair of six commercial entities in ICT, education, fintech, construction and leisure, as well as being a non-executive Director of two not-for-profits in the disability sector.

Mr Linton has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Deakin University.

Glenn Prinsen (Operations Manager)

Glenn Prinsen has been promoted to Operations Manager of ATech and is responsible for driving performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability. Mr Prinsen was previously ATech’s Senior Project Manager. Prior to joining ATech, Mr Prinsen was Project Manager at Townsville City Council.

Mr Prinsen has nearly two decades of development and project management experience. He holds a Bachelor of Information Technology at James Cook University and a Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM) Certification from the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM).

 

Amanda Brown (Community Manager) 

Amanda Brown has been appointed ATech’s Community Manager and is responsible for building the ATech brand through internal and external communication with all stakeholders, and developing the ATech community.

Ms Brown brings more than 20 years of marketing communications experience, both inhouse and agency, in a variety of sectors including B2B and ICT. 

Ms Brown has a Bachelor Arts majoring in Communications and Asian Studies from Western Sydney University.

 

Manuel Ruiz (Senior Web Developer)

Manuel Ruiz is a full stack Senior Web Developer responsible for providing technical leadership while working with teams to deliver high level technical solutions. Manuel brings seven years of experience participating in interdisciplinary projects in Mexico and Canada, developing web solutions and multimedia experiences. 

Ms Peterschlingmann said, “The $400,000 granted to ATech earlier this year through the federal government’s Boosting Female Founders program has made some of these new appointments possible, enabling ATech’s international growth project. 

“ATech has proven that it is possible to run a globally competitive business from Queensland. We’re successfully competing in a market that is dominated by some of the world’s largest companies.

“We’re thrilled to be able to take that business model to the international market with the support of the grant. 

“All of our staff work remotely from Australia, and have done for 15 years; remote working is nothing new to us! This means we can confidently interact using the same mechanisms with our international clients.

ATech specialises in catering for high scalability, availability and security requirements, and has built and hosted websites and web apps for local organisations including Virgin Australia, Seqwater and Brisbane City Council.
